When is it worth reaching out to CPP UW?

Contact a specialist if you experience:

  • persistent difficulties with motivation to study, attend classes, or take part in social activities,
  • problems with concentration and learning,
  • outbursts of anger or aggression toward yourself or others,
  • low mood or intense mood swings,
  • lack of control over eating—either overeating or restricting food,
  • bodily tension that makes it hard to study or rest,
  • trouble understanding your own emotions and behaviors,
  • situations where friends’ support is no longer enough,
  • turning to alcohol or other substances when under stress,
  • experiencing or witnessing trauma,
  • a sense that life has no meaning,
  • suicidal thoughts.
