Short-term psychotherapeutic group
Short-Term Psychological Support is one of the forms of help offered by the University of Warsaw Psychological Support Center. It consists of 5 to 12 individual sessions with a psychologist or psychotherapist.
What is short-term support?
- The sessions focus on the specific difficulties the person is experiencing.
- The goal is to understand the causes of the problems and to change maladaptive coping strategies.
- The duration and detailed goals of the support are agreed upon together with the psychologist, taking into account individual needs and possibilities.
What are the sessions like?
- Sessions take place once a week.
- Meetings are scheduled at a fixed time – always on the same day and hour.
- Each session lasts up to 50 minutes.
